"A restaurant is a promise you make to your neighborhood, every single evening."
Our story

Three generations, one kitchen.

Nonna Lucia opened Aurora in 1987 with six tables and one rule: if it isn't made here, it isn't served here. Her daughter runs the dining room today, and her grandson runs the wood oven.

The pasta is rolled every morning. The tomatoes come from the same supplier since 1994. The wine list is short, Italian, and chosen because we actually drink it.

What our guests say

★★★★★

"The tagliatelle tastes like a Sunday at my grandmother's house. We drove 40 minutes and would drive 80."

— Maria K.
★★★★★

"Best pizza crust in the city, no debate. Charred, chewy, perfect. Book ahead — the room is small and it fills up."

— James R.
★★★★★

"They remembered our anniversary from last year. That's the kind of place this is. The tiramisu alone is worth the visit."
